'SPIRIT OF TALK TALK' - NEW EDITION
You may remember the release of ‘Spirit of Talk Talk’ - a book and double CD which hit the shelves back in September 2012 celebrating visionary band Talk Talk. Alan Wilder acted as musical & production supervisor for the project.
You can now register your interest in 'Spirit of Talk Talk’ - the paperback 2nd edition. The updated version, which will be the same size and in full colour, includes some new contributions - an exclusive in-depth interview with Simon Brenner, plus further interviews with legendary engineer Phill Brown along with Ashley Goodall & David Ambrose from EMI. Warne Livesey discusses writing with Mark Hollis, while Barry Mead gives his insider knowledge as Talk Talk's tour manager, all augmented with previously unseen backstage & tour photos. Further insights are provided by musicians Rupert Black & Phil Ramocon.
With the release due for September 2015, this edition is really taking shape with still more exciting interviews being lined up. The paperback will also enjoy US distribution enabling more affordable shipping, with a cost price set lower than the original hardback version.
Chris Roberts, one of the UK’s leading music journalists, traces Talk Talk’s history and evolution and, along with many unique & rare images, ‘Spirit of Talk Talk’ features over 100 written contributions from bands, label owners, DJs and creatives, all of whom share their appreciation - including Alan Wilder, Guy Garvey, James Lavelle, Nick McCabe, Richard Wright, Mark Radcliffe, Matt Johnson, Jimi Goodwin, Sean Carey, Paul Hartnoll, Karl Hyde, Joan Wasser and many more. James Marsh's iconic artwork and sketches are all presented too.
